In Medical Terminology, junior Isidore Espina makes fake wounds called moulage. In this class, students not only learn vocabulary for the medical field as the course name implies, they also complete hands-on projects to better understand the systems of the body they are learning about in class.

Juniors Marrisa Chacon, Cate Singletary and Avery Samuel are competitive members of the Klein Oak chapter of DECA and are thrilled to be advancing to the state competition. “We presented a business plan about employee engagement," Singletary said. Students who take various business classes are encouraged to become involved in DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) to have opportunities to build their resumes and earn honor cords by competing for local, state and national business-related contests.
