Members meet to discuss the current selection.
In a world where the art of reading books seems to be dwindling, Book Club is hoping to create a community where new and old readers alike can share their love for books.
“In my experience, the kindest, most accepting people are readers,” senior and club historian Ava Stone said. “What better way to spend your time than surrounded by those people [and] sharing [those] ideas?”
They meet bi-monthly on either Mondays or Thursdays. The meetings are broken down into sections: starting with fun activities and general book discussions, then ending with conversations about their current book club pick. The meetings are after school in the library with the sponsor Daniela Lankford.
