Harvest Spice Cake Recipe

Now that we are in the throws of autumn, what we truly need to enjoy the season is something delicious and rich. This harvest spice cake recipe is the right blend of all the fall flavors for you to enjoy the season.


For Cake:

  • 1 white cake mix
  • 1 can 15 oz. pumpkin (solid packed)
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil
  • ⅓ cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice

For Streusel

  • ½ cup butter
  • ½ cup flour
  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon

For Icing

  • 1 ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 4 oz. cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F, grease a 9×13 pan and set aside.
  2. Mix together cake mix, pumpkin, oil, sugar, eggs, and pumpkin pie spice in a bowl. Mix for 2 minutes. Spread in prepared pan.
  3. Mix together all ingredients for streusel, crumble across the top of cake.
  4. Bake for 25 minutes. Let sit for 15 minutes.
  5. Mix cream cheese and butter until they are blended. Add vanilla and powdered sugar, miz well. Spread on cake.
