Binge Watching vs. Weekly Anticipation
All over the country, people sit down to watch their favorite show after a week’s long wait. It keeps you on your toes, and they can’t wait to see what happens next. But don’t you ever wonder what it would be like if they could sit down and watch an entire television series at once? There’s no wait, no agonizing anticipation. You can just sit down and enjoy it.
Binge watching really took flight when Netflix started posting entire series of their original shows, such as Hemlock Grove and House of Cards, for people to watch at whatever time they wanted. That is one of the best things about binge watching: they have the freedom to watch a show whenever they want or are able to. They don’t have the commitment of having to pull oneself out of their daily life and watch a show that they’re not necessarily hooked on.
Shows can fall short of one’s initial expectations. This is why waiting for an entire show to be completed before starting to watch it is a good option for those who want to hear feedback from media, friends, or their viewers. If one’s going to watch a show, they should plan to watch a show that they’ve already heard is worth their time.
The wait for seeing the next episode of someone’s favorite show is absolute torture. Sometimes, it can be all that’s on their mind until they see it, but then the cycle just repeats itself! What’s the use in having to wait for the next episode if they could just sit down and watch the entire show whenever they wanted?
However, some people take binge watching too far. They’ll sit down and watch an entire show in they-sitting, and that just isn’t healthy. They’ll end up sleep-deprived, which leads to memory loss and other serious health conditions. That’s why if they plan on binge watching a television show they have to be careful not to overdo it.
Despite these hazards, there is no comparison. Binge watching is the way to go if they want to experience their favorite shows without the excruciating pain of having to wait weeks just for a new episode.
