Juniors Raiden Ross and Jalyn Black hupe up their teammates senior Desmond Sheffield and sophomore King Greathouse as they get ready for their turns. The varsity team bowled and ate pizza together Aug. 22 at Bowlero to build bonds that could carry them through the season ahead.
Oak 'Em on 3!
Prior to the first match, junior Hunter Haberman practices dry passes with teammates. The varsity girls and boys teams played Tomball High School Aug. 29. Although both new teams lost their first ever matches, they were able to score points against a water polo team that has been established since the 1990s.
Water Warriors
Throughout the school day, junior Claire Shinn is able to check her blood sugar levels on her cell phone using an app called Dexcom. Although students throughout the state have their personal technology banned during class, Shinn is able to check due to medical neccesity because she must continually monitor her glucose levels.
Learning to Deal
Before school began, freshmen and transfer students were given the opportunity to come up to the school to walk their schedule and check out clubs and an organizations info fair in the commons.
Been There, Done That
With the state mandate of House Bill 1841 becoming law which bans phones from schools during school hours, limits were also set on other personal devices like mp3 players, smart watches, headphones and airpods.

After living in Japan for the summer, Adin Johnson found that younger generations were excited to interact with him to learn more about American culture.
