The annual school tradition of Mr. Debonair has come around once again and it’s time for the boys to put on their prettiest smiles and strut the stage.

This year 31 boys will be competing for the judges hearts on Valentine’s Day in the annual Mr. Debonair pageant, but what will it take for these boys to get the crown?

“The judges ask the contestants questions, we do a performance and we also do a huge dancer number involving all the contestants,” Mr. DECA, junior Mitra Srinivasan said.

As Friday night draws near, the boys are preparing to woo all the men and women in the crowd.

“I think the hard part is trying to find ways to entertain the judges and the crowd,” Srinivasan said.

With the different representatives from each club, the stage will be rockin’ with different performances.

“My performance will be for the boys. I plan on giving them newfound advice on certain topics of life,” Mr. PHP, junior Matthew Stuckey, said.

The stakes are very high to win this crown and need a better answer than “world peace” to win the cash prize of $100 and the prestigious title of Mr. Debonair.

“My chances of winning are pretty high considering that I am an expert at this even though it is my first year competing,” Stuckey said.

Not only do the contestants have to impress the judges, there are many other hearts on the line.

“Mr. Debonair is a fun experience that I enjoy, and I love going every year! It’s worth it and my friends and I love seeing all the good-looking guys throughout the school. I definitely get excited this time every year for Mr. Debonair,” junior Samantha Burke

Due to Klein Oak theater construction, Mr. Debonair will be held at the Klein Cain auditorium at 7 pm. Tickets are $15 at the door!

This is a fundraising event and all the profits go to the school charity, F.A.C.E.S .Come support the Panthers and may the best man get the final rose.
