An attack on New Year’s day happened at a night club in Turkey. The attacker killed 39 people, leaving many injured. The Istanbul nightclub remained in new year’s celebration remanence for days after the attack. The attack was at about 1:15 a.m. Eastern time, just after the New Year’s celebration had started. Many tried to flee from the club and some even jumped into the harbor next to it. The search for the nightclub terrorist lasted 16 days after the night. Police authority’s eventually found Abdulkadir Masharipov along with an Iraqi women and an Egyptian women after seizing a suspected house in Turkey. Istanbul was addressed by their governor, Vasip Sahin reassuring the people of Turkey that the search was concluded. The arrest was the culmination of about 2,000 police officers and involved about 40 other foreign nationals to aiding to the situation.
