In this day and age in which fast food chicken restaurants can be found on every corner, there is a sauce for almost anything in various flavors. People keep going back for that sensation of dipping the main entree into a square shaped sauce container, placing that dressed up food into their mouths, and repeating again and again.
“Sauces spice up your meal and bring a little bit of spunk that you wouldn’t normally get. For example, when I eat McDonalds french fries, although they’re good by themselves, the ketchup unlocks something to make it 10 times better,” senior Aubrey Lacour said.
When thinking of Raising Canes, most people’s minds go straight to the Cane’s sauce.
“Cane’s sauce is so diverse that it makes everything from Cane’s taste better,” senior Chelsea Gongora said. “When you really think about it, the chicken from Cane’s is dry, but the sauce takes it to a new level.”
Another favorite when it comes to sauces is the famous Chick-fil-a sauce.
“If you’re not eating your 12 count Chick-fil-a chicken nuggets with at least two of the Chick-fil-a sauces, you’re just simply not doing life right,” senior Sophia Odom said.
Sauces have unlocked a new level in enhancing the dining experience. The “OG’s” like ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise aren’t forgotten.
“Have you ever had a mayo sandwich? Some people like to forget about the basic sauces, but some of them just can’t be topped,”senior Nico Montalvo said.
Fast food companies like Whataburger and Chick-fil-a have even begun supplying grocery stores with their sauces so fans can enjoy them at home. And on social media, people are showing dupes found at Walmart and with no name brands.
“I buy Whataburger and Chuck-fil-a sauce,” sophomore Riley Standish said. “I use it at home with french fries and chicken nuggets that my mom makes.”
