Juniors Raiden Ross and Jalyn Black hupe up their teammates senior Desmond Sheffield and sophomore King Greathouse as they get ready for their turns. The varsity team bowled and ate pizza together Aug. 22 at Bowlero to build bonds that could carry them through the season ahead.

Prior to the first match, junior Hunter Haberman practices dry passes with teammates. The varsity girls and boys teams played Tomball High School Aug. 29. Although both new teams lost their first ever matches, they were able to score points against a water polo team that has been established since the 1990s.

Throughout the school day, junior Claire Shinn is able to check her blood sugar levels on her cell phone using an app called Dexcom. Although students throughout the state have their personal technology banned during class, Shinn is able to check due to medical neccesity because she must continually monitor her glucose levels.
